CIMS 3 and CIMS 4

CIMS 3 and CIMS 4 are run consecutively. Choose to attend a one day CIMS 3 or the two day CIMS 4.
CIMS 3 – US 32158
A one day course providing a practical introduction to the NZ Coordinated Incident Management System – our national framework for emergency response. Through real-world scenarios you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the CIMS 3rd Edition framework including:
- Basic CIMS structure, principles and characteristics
- The Incident Management Team (IMT) – structure, roles, functions and sub-functions
- CIMS documentation, facilities, handovers/briefings (includes practical scenario for giving a handover/briefing)
- One desk-top scenario using a full IMT with participants assuming roles and responsibilities of given IMT members
- Scenarios reflect response situations that may be experienced by participants for each class
- Assessments are online following completion of class
CIMS 4 – US 29553 and 29554
A two day course s designed for those who have formal IMT roles or who may be alternates in the event of a response and includes:
- Basic CIMS structure, principles and characteristics
- The Incident Management Team (IMT) – structure, roles, functions and sub-functions
- CIMS documentation, facilities, handovers/briefings (includes practical scenario for giving a handover/briefing)
- Three desk-top scenarios using a full IMT with participants assuming roles and responsibilities of given IMT members
- Crisis Leadership
- Assessments are online following completion of class
- Scenarios reflect response situations that may be experienced by participants for each class
